Mississippi Colonel Bobby Ray Watson grew up in the North Mississippi hill country and learned these songs from their creators. Most were 1st generation blues men. Bobby Ray matured and learned the music of the masters. He was a direct conduit to first gen guys like Mississippi Fred McDowell, Sleepy John Estes, Johnny Woods, Furry, RL Burnside, Joe Callicot and other more obscure delta talent. Here he belts these "Country Blues" songs and fires 'em up.
